We rarely get take away but being on holidays decided that fish and chips on the water would be a great dinner. It worked out just over $100 (which for our big family wasn’t too bad). We waited about 20 minutes, which was fine.

If you like hot chips this is the place to go, they are the bomb! And I am not a hot chip fan but will eat the one’s from here. Had a corn jack and was cooked perfect, hubby had chiko roll and was perfect. Great service and food. Do drop in and try their menu if your in Urunga as you will thoroughly enjoy it.

Friday 15/9 about 5pm ordered fish cocktails scallops and chips which were the most disgusting takeaway I’ve ever ordered. To be fair the chips were ok but I was really disappointed with the quality of the rest of the food. The proprietors should be ashamed. Fish and scallops looked and tasted like they had been cooked over and over. Stay away from this place because they obviously don’t give two hoots !

I’ve never had to write a review but after my experience here I feel I have to warn everyone. I ordered a seafood basket for lunch 16/9/23, within an hour of finishing my meal I started feeling terribly ill. By the evening you guessed it, food poisoning. It was the only meal I ate yesterday and the timing I fell ill lined up perfectly as food poisoning. I have only just found the energy to write this review but thought I would share my thanks for the most terrible seafood I’ve ever eaten and the complimentary food poisoning. I will never go here again… I will probably never eat seafood again either!

You won’t be disappointed but neither will you be super impressed. Chips were perfectly cooked and oil was clean. The tartare sauce on offer was the gross translucent kind. I recommend buying the good homemade style stuff, this can be brought in pre-packaged serves so ypu run very little financial risk in having the option.

Great take away shop. Fast service even when busy. Lovely place to eat down by the water not too far away. Very reasonable prices, $10 for a good sized calamari and chips.

Not great. Cooked, so the batter was very dark, which is not to my taste. It was easy to peel off, though, and fish underneath was tasty. The potatoes in the scallops weren’t cooked properly. It’s as though the oil temperature is too high.

Overcooked fish, missing half our chips (they reckoned this was $12 worth) and when we questioned the lady behind the counter was really rude and dismissive. Really miss the old Urunga Seafoods (as Pete and his fish and chips were the best and the the service brilliant.)
