Veggie chow mein for $10 consisted of 1 bunch of bok choy, and a few bean sprouts. No incentive to support local business when you don’t serve value for money food.

Thank goodness my wife recalls this place when we were in Foodland. Without any regrets, they are THE best asian food around the Hills. Everything has its own unique flavour and furthermore right for the price too. Great service and very friendly staff members even when its busy. And by the way, we’ve got two bowls of rice compliments from the front of house, I insisted on paying but they were too kind to accept payment. A big thank you to you! Definitely a place to go and highly recommended.

Really, really good. Been here a few times and the food is excellent. Not super sweet and full of sugar like so many other Asian restaurants. We’re lucky to have such a high quality option for Asian food in Mt Barker.

Casual dining with the cuisine and price point comparable to the restaurants you’d find in Chinatown. Shallot pancakes and satay chicken skewers are recommended, as are the seafood Laksa, honey prawns and Hainen Chicken Rice dishes. I’ll return to Uncle Wong’s for sure

Edible but not enjoyable. Saw sweet and sour pork on the menu, asked if they could do sweet and sour chicken. They said not. Either they had no chicken or I think more likely it was pre-made already, and after tasting the sweet and sour pork certainly did not taste fresh. Very small pieces of what was presumably pork covered in hard batter that dominated. No contrast of sweet and sour just bland old tasting sauce. I can make a very good sweet and sour dish and it only takes 5 minutes so why couldn’t they? Fried rice was average. Fried squid was below average and the tofu was not good. If I made those dishes at home like that I’d throw it in the bin rather than serve it to my family. I don’t understand how someone could take pride in sending out food like that.

We decided to give it a go for a special they were running at the time and now we’ve been several times! Honey glazed pork and sweet n sour pork are so good. Staff are nice and helpful. Prices are fairly standard for the type of food. Not a huge menu but that’s not a bad thing.

Way overpriced for a container of plain rice and container of Choo chee chicken-or few chicken pieces in a somewhat spiced coconut sauce. Very sad. Will go next door for pizza next time, more value there.

Love the laksa here. They use Sarawak Laksa paste so it tastes different but yummier than other laksa in South Australia.

Ordered the crispy chicken wontons. $10 for 5 small burnt wonton that had no filling at all. Tiny amount of food for the price. Definitely wouldn’t recommend
