“We Cook for you as we cook for our family.” My passion for food started in Thailand, Growing up with my Grandma who at the time was the most famous chef in Bhurirham. She showed me the joy of cooking Thai food and caring for others as you would for yourself. From the age of 10 I began to learn her recipes and techniques. I graduated from a cookery school 15 years ago and soon after opened a restaurant in Sydney.

First time trying this beautiful and intimate restaurant. Absolutely stunning interior, lovely staff and great service! Tried the salt and pepper squid, coconut rice, soft shell crab stir fry and a duck dish. All 10/10, though the portion sizes could have been slightly bigger for the mains. Convenient and attractive restaurant for anyone travelling in the Gosford/Wyong area. The dishes were all a bit sweet for my tastes but the service was excellent and it all came out hot and fresh. We were seated near the entrance and unfortunately the door opens slightly and lets in a cool breeze in the winter (probably due to the negative pressure from the kitchen exhaust).

I ordered delivery of 3 mains and was offered free spring rolls . The order came to $80.60 and the servings were small and mainly vegetables. For the price I expected a much better portion size .The spring rolls that were offered free were not spring rolls but some vegan rubber things that looked terrible and tasted the same and were discarded, You could flex these things back onto themselves without them breaking . I should have gone Chinese. I gave a good rating for service which was their delivery that was very fast.

The best stop ever you can get on the highway! We went there for lunch and it was really nice. The noodle soup was really coconutty and the spicy rice noodles with the prawns was so tasty. Really friendly service too! There are lots of little shops around to look around. We will definitely stop here again on our next trip.

Ordered dinner tonight, and wanted a mixed entree, I don’t eat curry puffs/fish cakes so left a message to not bother putting them in my order as I wouldn’t eat them anyway they gave me extra of the other items! Was pleasantly surprised when I seen that.

Had my very 1st meal tonite ( take-a-way) from this restaurant after waiting from their initial opening to give it a go. Had the veg home made spring rolls (4) which were quite nice. I had the main of Hokkien Noodle Pad Kee Mao Beef & I have to be honest, it was a shocker. Apart from 4 small pieces of mushroom with 3 large slices of capsicum, I found a quantity of beef pieces with the balance of the meal being a generous amount of large noodles. Well, let me tell you that if I substituted my old leather soles (heated) with the supplied beef, then I mite have enjoyed my meal. The beef was obviously either over cooked or it was a left over from the previous days. I gave up trying to eat the beef & ate as much of the noodles as I could as the sauce was nice. I won’t give up on this restaurant yet, as I will give it another go but with a very obvious diff meal. I really hope that they will do better.

We’ve been ordering home delivered meals from Tycoon Thai for over a year and keep returning for further deliveries. There have been a few meals we’ve ordered that didn’t hit our expectations but possibly more our selection than the meal supplied. When in Mosman or Canberra visiting our kids and grandkids, we also often order a thai meal. Although Mosman and surronds and Canberra have many high quality restaurants, we’ve yet to find one that meets the same standard of quality and flavours as the Tycoon Thai.
