Firstly what a great building for a brewery. They have plenty of TVs playing sport and if you ask nicely they will change the Channel for you. The beers are not amazing, they are very safe beers and not very adventurous. I ordered the chicken wings and they were okay the bbq sauce was pretty tasty. The staff were very nice.

A good place to chill after exploring the town. It was warm if not hot in far North Queensland. They brew their beer locally and I must say, I enjoy them. I had the beer paddle, I forgot how much but it surely didn’t cost a fortune. The beer was refreshing and light. They do comes with unique names and interesting illustrations. The chip was generous serving for under $10. Inside it has few pool tables and a big screen for footy. The service was friendly and fast. The brewery adjacent to the old post office building, very nice for a photo shot and located in the town centre. Don’t forget to drop by if you happen to visit Townsville.

Hello from the US via Okinawa Stopped by the TBC while on our way to City Lane and had such a good time getting paddles (flights in the US) that we stayed for food and appetizers! Friendly crew who were quick to help us even as they were training up their new folks. Beer was excellent and my wings had me thinking of home. Cheers mates!

Excellent beers! The Ned Kelly red ale (was called something like that) was brilliant and really reminded me of home. Happy hour from 5-6 with all tap beers are $5! Staff are incredibly nice, friendly and helpful with the selection of beers. Only had a bowl of chips as I was on the piss but was good

One of the worst meals I’ve never had. The crumbed steak I ordered was obviously frozen and poorly deep fried. After requesting it to be cooked, it came back burnt on the outside but completely raw. I asked for a burger instead. You’d think the cook would have paid a little more attention. But when it came out, the patty was also frozen and raw. When I showed the wait staff, they couldn’t believe it either. So I never got to eat anything. That’s a fail. Not once, not twice, but three times back to back. I’ve owned restaurants and don’t usually complain or send food back, but this was remarkably bad. It’s frustrating that an unqualified, incompetent cook is taking the job of someone more deserving. The bar staff at The Brewery were excellent but I’ll be going to better pubs for food from now on.

Not a great experience. First they sat someone at our table, which we had booked in advance, waited nearly 40 minutes for food, only to be served a dry burger and stale brioche bun, cold chips, a watery Caesar salad with halloumi that was burnt crisp on one side (and they forgot the anchovy). Won’t be returning.

Very disappointing, I went on a Saturday night and there was a very, very, very loud group of Yobbo Footy fans there that were screaming and wolf whistling as if they were at the football ground. Atmosphere was terrible. The service was acceptable and the staff at least looked like they were friendly but both them and I couldn’t hear each other, so communication was not effective. Now for the worst, the food, absolutely terrible, my friend ordered a chicken burger with no coleslaw, the burger was made with the coleslaw and then the chef didn’t even take it all off, to bad if he actually had an allergy to something in coleslaw. I ordered the porterhouse and was served a beef schnitzel. Sorry but I couldn’t get out of there quick enough and definitely wouldn’t recommend anyone to eat here.

Service was disgraceful, absolutely the worst i have ever experienced. Wine bottle left at table, no glasses given to drink. Forgot to order 2 of our 3 dessets. Food was well presented and tasty, pity it was so let down poor bad staff at front of house that had no idea what they are doing.

Had Tuesday night dinner here and enjoyed the steak special with some arancini and king prawns as starters. Everything was delicious, the staff were super friendly and the drinks were great. Will definitely be back.
