We really had a wonderful experience a Tidal. It is managed by the skilled pair, Fiona and Gavin. The menu seems to change regularly for variety and depending on availability of the fresh ingredients. After the food service was over, Chef Gavin came out and chatted to patrons. Situated across the road from Merimbula Lake, which adds a delightful view to the complete setting.

First time dining here and we will be back, menu and food was fabulous, I had both of the daily specials, zucchini flowers and fish of the day were delicious and presented beautifully, cocktails and a good wine list. As frequent visitors to the area we will be adding Tidal to our list of must return to! Can’t wait to sit outside on a warm day and soak up that view

Tidal Restaurant & Wine Bar in Merimbula attracts nearly all five star Google reviews, many from faceless reviewers who haven’t included a photo or reviewed anything else. Many “recommend” the place, comment on the “table service” rather than what they ate, or explain “facts” like no other venue in Merimbula offers a similar view. As a diner, what I look for are reviews from regular reviewers that focus on food and flavour, so here goes…

Oh wow! Impromptu decision to treat ourselves to lunch out and we won’t regret our choice of venue. An absolutely delicious 3 courses prepared and presented faultlessly. Oysters with a twist (yum!), mouthwatering mains (he had steak, I had scallops) and delectable sweets. Beautiful venue, great service. What more could you ask for? Highly recommend .

We enjoyed a beautiful meal at tidal. The service is attentive whilst not overbearing. The seafood is cooked to perfection. Alas I did not have a chance to explore the wine list. Was nice to have the chef pay us a visit also towards the end of the meal.
