We are The Twisted Indian. We are where traditional meets modern, where global meets desi and where being twisted is absolutely normal.
The vision behind the name is to showcase the wide variety of flavours and what can be made out of them with a bit of creativity. Why, because normal is boring. Put a little twist and things get real interesting. So do your dishes.
But the traditional Butter chicken lovers have no reason to be disappointed at all. When we say traditional, we mean it. Our traditional curries taste just the way they should without added preservatives or flavours. Originality is another thing that makes us Twisted.

A rare Indian food scene in the middle of Leichhardt. The restaurant is small and decorated with neon signs and has a bar in the front. Food tastes delicious and generously portioned. Daal makhani is my must try in every Indian restaurant and no exception here either. Buttery daal and beans, creamy sauce and great spices. The signature chicken curry wasn’t bad but no stand out for me. Garlic naans are fragrant and cooked to perfection. Complimentary entree of pappadum and mint yoghurt dip. Service is 4/5 – food takes quite long (around 20-30 mins) to get to your table as they seemed to prioritise takeaway and delivery orders. Staff is professional and occasionally come by to check on you.

Our second visit. We love the food and service and we will definitely be back. My only constructive criticism is that it’s a shame that entrees are not allowed to be ordered to come to the table at the same time as your main dish. My request to do this was refused.

Probably the best Indian restaurant ever in Sydney. Really Twisted as there name. Enjoyed the stater, the curries and the softest and delicious nans. The employees are friendly and helped in the food selection from the menu. The ambiance of the place is really twisted as its name . Highly recommend place in sydney if you’re looking for a Indian food with the twist.

This is the BEST Indian food around. We don’t order Indian anywhere else. The service is exceptional and the food is delicious. Our favourites are Chicken Tikka and the Beef Vindaloo. The naan bread is always fresh and tasty. Belle and Ash are an asset to our community and I hope to be buying from them for years to come.

Excellent Indian food in Leichhardt on Norton St. The dishes we ordered were the butter chicken, the gymkhana goat curry, the malai kofta and the goat biryani. All dishes were just as good as the last. The naans were awesome too.

The food here is delightful! Not sure if it’s Indian fusion, but it tastes like it. It has a nice fresh twist on indian cuisine. They have blue cheese naan and the aloo chat was tangy and satisfying. Came here twice with my partner on First Table. Definitely deceptively filing!
