Had a sticky beak yesterday and the fit out looks incredible… very high end and inviting. Can’t wait for some delicious fine dining in. Camden!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food and wine. The sommelier was friendly and knowledgeable. Our steak was one of the best I’ve ever had. If you’re wanting a fine dining experience, I strongly recommend! We will be coming back soon and are very excited for the seasonal menu change!

Upon arriving and trying to work out how to open the front door we had to wait for someone to come and let us in and was informed we can use the access next door in the hotel but when i booked online that information was not shared. The servers were attentive and some what friendly but no engaging and warm and for this high scale type of restaurant i would expect this. We had a nice table in the corner but the other two tables next to us were quite close and until they left everything we said was heard as there was no background music in the restaurant which would of been nice in such a fine dining restaurant, instead we only had the thumping and base from the hotel next door with the live band which did not match this restaurant and overall ruined the experience for us. The lighting was nice and dark which created a romance feel but again was ruined but the sliding door to the hotel opening and closing to a loud crowd of people drinking. After we ordered it took quite a while for our one entrée to come out by this time i was tipsy from my wine (which was delicious), and the same with the one main, it just took too long for the food to reach the table. Our entrée of scallops was delicious but feel that instead of micro herbs a bit of coriander would of been best suited to this plate but for me it was my favourite dish of the evening. We shared a main of 280g steak which was mostly all fat and a watery red wine jus. The sides we ordered of potato and broccoli was tasty but nothing extraordinary and i have had nicer in other cafes / restaurants. Overall it was a nice evening but we wont be returning and i would not recommend this restaurant.

Fantastic atmosphere and the staff are friendly and genuine. Nice selection of entrees and mains with a good wine list. Steaks were yummy, but the ordered sides could have been more generous. Certainly on the higher end of the cost scale, but a good place to celebrate those special occasions.

I was skeptical about trying a high end restaurant like the highlands. Most elite restaurants have inedible food for unrealistic prices, but wasn’t I pleasantly surprised. What an amazing fine dining experience. Friendly and professional staff that have a wide range of knowledge about what they serve you. They talked with us about the origins of alcohol we chose, the menu in depth so we knew what we were choosing and were very attentive to our needs- they even checked allergies with us on arrival (I thought this was exceptional!). The complimentary bread was so airy, soft yet crunchy and I would’ve been happy with a bowl of that to eat. We had the duck and cinco Jotas jamon berico for entree and it was like dancing on our pallet. The flavours burst in your mouth and were so delightful! The main we had eye fillet and porter house with red wine jus. I don’t even know if I chewed the meat much it was so buttery smooth and just melted in your mouth. We chose baby potatoes, broccolini and mushrooms for sides. The potatoes were the best I’ve ever eaten. Crunchy on the outside but a mash on the inside with cooked garlic- absolutely superb. Dessert we had sticky date pudding and the valrhona guanaja chocolate and passion fruit which were both enjoyable. The vanilla gelato was also superb!! I had a mojito, which was also the best I’ve had and so refreshing from the hot day. Would highly recommend this experience and restaurant. Lovely to have a high end dining restaurant in Camden. Exquisite! Thank you for having us at the highlands!

Beautiful restaurant for an intimate dinner, no loud background noise and the wait staff Isabel and Sofia were just amazing with their service and even though the computer system had a melt down they went above and beyond for us to make sure we were taken care of and our food was served to a high standard. The pork belly is the best we have had, steaks cooked perfectly and the sides were very generous. A must try is the Pina colada dessert. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for a special night out
