Social Profile: 
The Cranfield Restaurant, Wine Bar and Providore is housed in the grand, old 1888 Masonic building in the regional town of Young, in the Hilltops region of south-west NSW.
We are lucky to live in the Hilltops region with an abundance of orchards, vineyards and farms with vegetables, pork, beef and sheep, which all feeds into our menus and drink list. Our aim is to ‘hero’ the Hilltops and surrounding region through our food, wines, coffee, beer and spirits.
The restaurant has a set menu which changes weekly, offering a selection of dishes using seasonal produce which is often home-grown, and as much as possible, locally-sourced. The Providore shop sells a range of local produce from our farm, pre-made dinner options and gifts.

The Cranfield is a great find. A terrific 4 course fixed menu won’t suit everyone but it’s put together by owner/chef Anna with care and finesse, and we would pay twice as much for the same in some city places. The wine list, put together by semi-retired winemaker Bill, has some real gems. No foodie should visit Young without dining here.

The food, service and staff are outstanding. The menu is inspiring and every meal we have had has been incredibly delicious. It’s great to see the historic building restored and in use again. They have also done an amazing job with the interior design and decor. It has a really relaxing and comfortable atmosphere that hits you as soon as walk in the door. We are so lucky to have such a high quality restaurant in Young.

Good service but menu definitely needs work. I didn’t appreciate the share plate entree that we had to eat with fingers and the dessert was very substandard. Extremely over priced for the quality of the meal. Sorry, would not go again.

Clean, great food with a focus on local produce. Menu does change regularly but Cannot fault our meal at the cranfield and would definitely be back when in town.
