The Cowrie is dedicated to the ongoing support and growth of developing our menus strictly based on locally sourced and seasonally driven produce. This is also correlated with engagement within our local community, working together with local growers developing Australian honey, citrus, native herbs/spices and sustainable seafood. Our mission is to consistently build our connections with these passionate growers and bring that quality of product to the dining experience at the restaurant.

Based on the reviews wanted to try something different, travelled an hour and half to this hidden gem with gorgeous views and an exquisite food. Had an absolute amazing birthday lunch with mouth watering and tempting dishes, the ambience and the set up of this place was very relaxing and calm vibes. The staff out there were amazing, went above and beyond in explaining food and what wine or drink goes well with the food. After food palate cleanser berry drink was divine.

We were arranged with a window table and the view is extraordinary. It was for my husband’s birthday. They were very kind and prepared a little present. The food was good (personally feel a little bit salty). The seasonal cocktail was surprisingly nice. We live in Sydney and drove up to Terrigal for a little getaway. We both felt it was worth of trip.

The food was exquisite; the view to die for and the atmosphere relaxed. The chef explained all the dishes to us. We were there for lunch on the deck in the middle of the week so it was quiet. Celebrated my hubby’s birthday and he was given a gorgeous little gift. Thank you for the memories.

I went there to celebrate my sister and parents’ birthday. We had a fantastic time. The view was beautiful and the food was very delicious. Usually, other restaurant course meals had a small amount of food served, but the amount was enough here, and the service was so good that I felt like I was being treated. We decided to come here every birthday. Thank you very much for the great food and service. We love this place now 🙂

We were fortunate to have perfect weather to accompany the relaxing view from our dining table at the Cowrie. We appreciated the Chef’s four course lunch selection as there such a wide selection of courses available. The taste sensations were amazing, the duck perfectly cooked. In addition the service was perfect! Thank you to all at the Cowrie, we will definitely be back soon.

Gorgeous balcony view with mouth watering food!! This restaurant uses local stores and produce while also growing some of their own produce for drinks/meals. Very lovely, prompt service with complimentary starter. We opted for two course meals. My partner got the entree/main while I had main/dessert. My partner had the mushroom risotto and Beef tenderloin & short cut rib. I ordered the pork loin and cheesecake. Everything was amazing! I do wish the dessert was a bit bigger as it was delicious. Will definitely return. Not sure if there is sufficient parking if it’s a busy night. There are 3x spots directly outside the restaurant, but unsure if there’s any other nominated parking area available. Also note, there is a 5% surcharge Saturday and 10% surcharge Sunday. Overall, a must try!!
