Thai Town Melbourne

Thai Town is a place where Thai people, especially students, can find a taste of home, with the look of a hawker market but offering table service.

Wow, the food is very good. The decor looks like old Thai town in little Bangkok. Serving is generous. There are a variety of street food options. We opts for Jumbo king prawn pad thai, salted calamari, pork skewers, papaya salad and Pork knuckle, and sticky rice with mango, all very tasty. Definitely come back for more!

Thai Town is hands down my favorite Thai restaurant in Melbourne. Their delicious food and top-notch service keep me coming back for more. The pad thai here is an absolute must-try, and the glass noodle salad is my personal favorite. If you’re looking for an authentic Thai dining experience with consistently great flavors, Thai Town is the place to go!

The food at Thai Town is super tasty and very delicious. I have to say it’s one of the best in Melbourne. The food servings are generous and presented well. This is the 3rd time I’ve been here and the quality of food has remained the same. I keep ordering their staple – Pad Thai King Prawns as it’s a must. The Fried Rice, Calamari and Pork were superb. My least favourite was the Pork Sausages which I felt was too garlicky for my liking. Otherwise all great and will be my go to Thai restaurant.

Wow.. what a place.. Recently headed up here and the dinner was just amazing Thai food. Especially the fried rice dishes were amazing with a nice fried flavour which I have not got in a long time elsewhere. Enjoyed the wide variety of menu selections and online ordering at table was a charm, as they allow final payment at exit with a nice 5% discount on cash payments.

As always, the raw food was very tasty as well as our long-awaited Tom Yum soup, and mango sweet rice! Typically street food style, better matching with Thai milk tea and we could have it enough, the portions was bit small for a drink, and we recommend ice tea as well. The overall environment was crowded as well, which we like it as part of the experiences.

This place was downright amazing. Hidden gem in cbd. Located right at QV. easy access to public transportation and lots of cafes and restaurants around. We went for a quick bite and when we got there we were lucky enough to get a table. They seemed pretty busy and the menu was quite big with lots of options. We were hunger so decided to go with pad sew with pork and chicken pad Thai and it was amazing.

Waited 15 mins for a table of 3 on a Sunday night. Prawns were really fresh and juicy in the tomyum soup & phad Thai! Loved the authentic Thai food and bustling atmosphere. Grilled squid was good too!

I ordered the pad thai with pork and it was really nice, was sad that it didn’t come with a lemon/lime slice though, it is an extra $0.50 so if you really want some there’s still the option. The service was really fast and the waiting staff were efficient and helpful, the atmosphere was also pleasant, I went at around 1pm on a Monday it wasn’t too busy. Overall, it was a very good experience
