Went there today to get 1 potato cake. Just 1!! The lady behind the counter was chatting to a customer on my side. After talking for 5mins and not purchasing anything, the customer left. The lady then turned around and went to her cooktop without serving me. There was no one else in the store. I couldn’t believe it, so I left. How totally rude. I will never be going back.

I live locally and have been buying from this business for the 4 years I have been in the area , we have enjoyed most the meals . Only a few days ago I bought a crumbed sausage and took a bite in car on my way out and could not take another bite . It was very old and had obvious been sitting for a while , today I walk in and asked if they would possibly cook me another one , the man said we have none in the window but come back Monday, I then said on Monday will they be willing to make me one , and he said NO . I stated I am a regular customer and won’t be coming back in the future , he didn’t seem to care . The man said that’s ok we don’t mind .

Without a shred of exaggeration, this place just sold me the worst meal I have ever had in my entire life. I have never left a restaurant review on google before but I am doing my first here with the sole intention of warning others to STAY AWAY from this restaurant. Honestly if this meal stays inside my body without me vomiting I will be extremely surprised. The chips were almost frozen they were so undercooked. The ribs had about a teaspoon of sauce on them (again, no exaggeration) and were extremely dry and disgusting. The portions are also much smaller than they used to be, yet the prices have gone way up. To think I paid $16.95 for this experience is just atrocious. They used to be the best ribs on the Gold Coast bar none, now you will do very well to avoid this place AT ALL COSTS. DO NOT EAT HERE. EVER.

I asked for 1/2kg ribs at Labrador Park and was charged for 1kg $28 on 3/8/22. I returned them as they were tough and dry the next morning 4/8/22. The owner was hostile and would not give me a refund or offer another option. What a rip off.

Texas Char Grill excells at finding ways to lower the bar. Service is shocking 90% of the time from the ladies that obviously hate their life and feel they have the right to take it out on their customers. Seriously some of the things I have heard those ladies say is unbelievable. The food – what used to be really good carvery/takeaway chicken style food is just getting worse and worse and worse. Their roast chicken used to be one of the best on the Gold Coast and now rates as a sloppy unseasoned and bland mess. Just avoid the place is my advice.

Just hooked on the food. I agree with others, great value, delicious food, friendly service (yes used to be ordinary, seen those comments, that seems all good now). I eat here regularly. If you love ribs this place is a must.
