Social Profile:
Tandoori Den has been serving exquisite Indian food since 1981 in Camberwell where the award-winning restaurant is renowned for its consistency, its authentic North Indian cuisine, delightful in-house specials, and wide range of vegetarian dishes.
Our passion for Indian food has a long history. From the Tandoor ovens of Northern India, where dishes such as the Chicken Tikka and our famous Burra Kebab owe their true origins; to the fiery grills of the South and the heady mix of tropical fruits, spices and seafood – inspiring popular dishes such as our Prawn Vindaloo and Coconut Crab.
With vegetarian options like our delicious Eggplant Five Spice or the tasty Rogan Josh with seasonal vegetables, and other classic curries such as Madras…
Hopping, neighbourhood eatery serving wood-fired tandoori dishes over 2 traditionally themed floors.

I thoroughly enjoyed the meal but it was incredibly overpriced for a traditional Indian dinner. They are not a modern Tonka style venue so circa $33 for butter chicken is a bit outlandish. By the time you add rice and naan we paid well over $50 a head and the quality whilst sound was nothing beyond what you get elsewhere. I suppose the Camberwell clientele don’t take issue with the value for money but I wasn’t pleased by it

Service and staff is good, but the food is way too overpriced for the quantity and the quality offered. Paid over $120 for just two and didn’t feel like it was worth it at any point of time. At these prices we were expecting authentic taste and experience but we’ve had better with other reasonably priced Indian restaurants.

Amazing, authentic food! The butter chicken here is to die for – not too sweet and absolutely delicious. The naan breads are so tasty too. No shortcuts here in making the food. I could go on and on …

Delicious food! We decided to order online and pick up to support local businesses. Glad we did. Ordered via the website and food was ready at the time. I had a vegetarian rogan Josh. So delicious. The garlic naan is next level. Highly recommended. Hopefully we can eat in one day soon
