They were really busy when we arrived on a Friday night so we were looking forward to good food . There was a bit of a wait (being so busy ) but they kept our hunger at bay by feeding us lots of pappadums . Well worth the wait . Truly excellent Indian . Would happily eat there again if I was in Castlemaine . Delicious and fresh. The wait staff were also great , the young girl waiting on our table was a delight .

Ordered takeaway. Unfortunately below average Indian food. Chicken tikka was very dry and the prawns were lacking flavour. Naan was good however the butter chicken didn’t taste traditional at all. It almost had a satay flavour. The samosa’s however were done well.

We regularly get take away from here and have found it consistent and fresh. The curries are tasty and come with the medium amount of spice I request. Also love the mix grill platter but best if you eat in for that one or have the oven ready when you get home as it doesn’t hold the warmth during the travel time. Their mango lassis are the best, thick and sweet and almost a meal in themselves. Staff are quiet and friendly. Good local business that needs supporting.

To be honest, this restaurant wasn’t our first choice, however we are rapt we ended up eating here. The highlight is their food! It is expertly cooked and tastes delicious. They also offer BYO which is great considering the wine list is very limited.

Staff excellent, unfortunately the meal being medium is too western. No spice, lacks flavour and the saffron rice is not true saffron. I’m a foodie and go to Woodend Indian often and it beats anything in area!
