We’ve been wanting to come here for quite a while but they are quite busy and bookings are recommended. Easy enough to make an online booking. We were received with a warm welcome and ordering was either via the waitress or the QR code. The food was spectacular and the portions were substantial. Next time we will order a couple dishes and share as each and every dish has a flavour of its own to enjoy and share. Perfect place to have a meal prior to a visit to QPAC. Allow sufficient time.

Had my 40th here with a small group of 12 family members. We got seated at the private lazy susan table which was perfect for our small celebration. We shared all our generously packed plates and thoroughly enjoyed the flavours of each one. Our favourites were the crispy pork belly – crispy and tender and packed full of flavour, duck dishes and bao buns. The service was very welcoming, we weren’t left for long periods of time and staff were very attentive. The cocktails were delicious, some of the best I’ve had…esp the margaritas. No doubt a place we’ll make our go to whenever we’re in the area.

Superb cuisine crowned with exemplary service. The waitresses went the extra mile to explain the choices carefully and offered me extra vegetables. I was impressed. Late Sunday afternoon delight. One couldn’t ask for better service. The speed and attention was breathtaking. We had the Kung Pao Chicken and the Honey Glazed Pork. Classic NZ wine and crisp fresh XXXX Gold: the perfect accompaniment. Tai Tai.

This dog friendly restaurant is the hype! It’s not often I can bring a Coco(dog) with me to nice establishments for dinner. Located in the hustle and bustle of Grey street, entertained by the surrounding and ambiance, dining with great company and the food was on point. Absolutely delicious fried rice and even tastier dumplings! (To the owner) Please do lunch time yum cha! We would become regulars!!! This restaurant is a great place for Chinese cuisine! The meals are full of flavour, huge servings and great to share. The staff were excellent, friendly and attentive. They gave us great recommendations. We Can’t wait to go again!

The food was mouth-watering and the customer service was excellent. One of the employees saw that my son was cold and turned on the heater for him, this is something that should be a norm but very rarely occurs. Would definitely come here again.

Food was ok. A bit expensive for the portion you can get. You definitely have better options for that price.

Our first time dining at Tai Tai, really impressed with the freshness of the food, highly recommend, shared plate of dumplings, spring rolls to share for start, special fried rice, char kway teow, seafood combination and the best steam ginger deep sea cod. Food came out quickly. freshness of seafood and fish, not overcook, not greasy. Staff could do with a bit of paying attention to our request for food and drinks but overall a great place to eat. Prices on a bit of high side but for Chinese Restaurant at South Bank you can expect that.

Not a great restaurant. The food is quite pricey and the portions are quite small. The waiter doesn’t come out and serve you, it’s expected that you scan the QR code and order and pay on your phone. You are then served very oily rice with frozen vegetables. The only thing redeeming about this restaurant was the dumplings – which were good, but cost over $20 for 4. Take a walk to West End and find a better restaurant.
