Grabbed some rice paper rolls for a quick lunch. They have a little shop window from the street front with takeaway options. This is great as it means you don’t have to go into Sushi Maru to get some takeaway food. It tasted pretty good but would have been better with a little sauce such as sweet chilli to go with it.

Great variety of sushi and sashimi, including rolls, nigiri and salads. We had about a half hour wait for Friday lunch which was surprising. Prices fairly standard for sushi train, very easy to rack up a big bill particularly with hungry boys! Staff were quick and attentive.

Every experience I have had dining at Sushi Maru has been positive, hence the 5 stars. Their food is always fresh and clean and the atmosphere of the restaurant is light, bright and airy. The train offers a good selection of favourites, along with some innovative dishes. An a la carte menu is also available and offers a variety of hand rolls, karaage chicken and agedashi tofu amongst others. The prices are reasonable for the quality. Will come back, and again!

For sushi, it’s really not that bad. When I want a quick bite to eat, I’ll come here! It’s convenient and tasty but not the best sushi I’ve had. The lunch rush on the weekend gets busy so make sure to get in quick!

Overpriced and everything has kewpie on it. Rarely have raw tuna and the “hot” food on the train is always cold. At up to $7.50 per plate, you’ll find so much better value at Sazuki in Drummoyne.
