Have been going to Southlands for our fish and chips for the longest time with no real complaints. Today when entering they have changed their menu signs and suddenly they are charging $19 for a large chips! What an absolutely rip off. The chips aren’t even great. So disappointed.

We have been buying chickens from here for over 20 years but never again. They just don’t care any more and tonight’s chicken was dry and burnt. legs and wings blackened and disintegrated and a choking hazard! No wonder everyone buys their chickens from Woolworths now. Total waste of money tonight. Like others, we will spend elsewhere from now on.

We only ordered a portion of chips and the wait were over 20 minuets. Very slow been to other chip shops and the chips are ready to go. If you know it’s going to be busy have the food ready to go. Takeaway is meant to be quick. If you want food here, be prepared to wait a long time and don’t have any plans for the rest of the day.
