Beautiful Japanese restaurant with simple food done well. Their soba noodles are delicious, the chicken was perfectly cooked and the Soup was delicious, balanced and hearty.

We ventured in on a Saturday night and were quickly greeted and given a choice of seating. The varied menu featured many Japanese cuisine favourites and their signature sobas. We ordered via QR code and settled back to wait.

The food here is delicious. I personally like the vegan red dragon soba. Its a warm soba and not too spicy. Perfect for a cold day. The service is also good here 🙂 and nice ambience. The only thing is the price. If you are on a budget this may not be the place for you. Expect to spend around $35 to $40 for a meal and drink.

Super lovely food in a surprisingly nice venue tucked on High St. You order at the table which is good for groups. Though the staff were super hovery – perhaps because they had lots of time on their hands thanks to the automation.

Cute little place. I like the cold soba. Unfortunately a little overcooked, but nonetheless good flavors all around. The curry is good for a cooler day, but the tempura was by far the favourite. Good flavors on the tapas-mainly the okonomiyaki, but the king fish sashimi with the soy was an excellent combination, despite not being the most fresh. Would definitely recommend if you want to try again or want a nice cool meal on a hot summer’s day.

Good food. We had the banquet menu between 5 (would recommend this for groups). Wasn’t a big fan of the fish flakes pancake, but others enjoyed it. Busy little place. Make sure you either book or go in early. There’ll be a wait. Wonderful sake. So smooth! One of the best sake I’ve ever had. Would highly recommend.

Gluten free and healthy food focused Japanese cuisine. Their specialty Tasmanian buckwheat soba noodle is really good. Just their brown rice based dishes lacks the taste of authenticity and mouth feel.

I spontaneously walked in for a solo lunch and had the teriyaki salmon bento. It was exactly the healthy lunch I was craving. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. Service was relaxed and friendly. The portion size was a little smaller than I might have expected, but I believe this is reflective of the increased cost of ingredients and is the same everywhere you eat right now. I would still say this meal was good value. I will definitely be back to try more options from the menu in future.

My wife and I shared chicken karaage, I had the hot mixed Tempura Soba and she had the cold version, but with added tororo. The chicken karaage was a very generous serving – I don’t think I’ve ever seen pieces so big before! While they could’ve done with a bit more mayo, I’m sure the staff would have provided that if I’d asked. It also came with a lovely mixed lettuce and red cabbage salad with an amazing dressing.
