We were passing though Penguin in August on our way to Devonport and came across this gem right on water. We stopped for lunch and ordered pizza and pink ling tempura. The meals were great, very tasty, with lots of fresh ingredients. Service was great, friendly and relaxed. Being a cold windy day, we were seated in the large sunny room facing the ocean. Perfect spot for a casual lunch on our travels.

Exceptional pairing of flavours and the portion is very generous. Save room for dessert!! Blood orange Daiquiri is also a must. Seasons by the sea is a must, especially if you want a culinary delight.

Can honestly say I love this restaurant. We travelled to Tasmania from the Gold Coast. Stumbled across this restaurant in Penguin. The young staff in this restaurant could easily rival a 5 start restaurant. The cocktails are made on point and well the food is just amazing. I would actually say this restaurant could rival some of the 5 star restaurants we have eaten at. I felt like I literally had to be rolled out of there as the food was that delicious. This restaurant was the reason we stayed in Penguin a 2nd night. One tip…make a booking early as they do get booked out. Definitely worth the stop. Oh and the train passes straight through there. It is not massively noisy, nor does it stink. Very interesting though. Great for kids to see as you will see by our photos.
