Sakura Sushi has been here in Windsor for 20 years! I have been numerous times over the years. I love the authenticity. I had the teriyaki rolls (the omelette on the outside is a nice touch). The seaweed ships were great. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Parking was a bit tricky as the carpark was full but I didn’t mind the walk from just up the road. The aircon was perfect for the hot day. The chef asked if I wanted anything made even though there was plenty of freshly made plates on the train (and yes..it’s a real train…making it a great place for kids).

Cosy restaurant with a relaxed ambience and a cute train set carrying a small selection of dishes around. It was very easy to get a table for one when I arrived at just before 2pm. The sushi was fresh and tasty. The staff were friendly and checked every so often to make sure I had enough to eat. Although it’s not the cheapest sushi place, the quality is worth making another trip back to try other dishes.

Casual excellence. The quality is very high and for the vegetarians out there I speak highly of their veg options! Chef knows where the happiness point is, and anticipates desires of regular customers as a brilliant chef always does. Extra points for the sushi train cruising around the dining room at the same time. Toot toot, fancy jelly or an egg salad ship? Chef and staff, you have my love.

Easily the best sushi in Brisbane + vibe was immaculate. Not sure how we even got a seat it’s that good!

Our new local gem that I want to keep hidden but I can’t. The fish is fresh and the portions are great. The duo that runs the store are two lovely people and it really is a no frills place. It gives a lot of the major sushi chains a run for their money in terms of price and quality. I highly recommend the Agedashi Tofu and the Chicken skewers.

Best sushi I’ve had in years. Amazing sushi train (it is a real model train!) and the sweetest duo running the shop. Did I mention it is a BYO without corkage?! Definitely check it out – you won’t be disappointed!

Have been coming here for years, usually at least weekly. Awesome for lunch and food is always fresh. Staff are very friendly and accomodating and with regular customers they will be to know what you want and prepare it for you. Have come to crave the gyoza and aburi salmon.
