I have been a trip to visit my uncle in Brisbane, Australia. I had a chance to know Saigon Salad roll belong in Andelaide street, where has many vietnam dish such as Goi Cuon, Bo Kho, and others . This place was busy and being next to a small string of eateries, I realised that the local office workers must have been onto something good. I found the service was very good, especially as a vegetarian I wanted a tailor made Banh Mi and they were careful to get my order details right.

The young man who works here, at least on weekends, is extremely nice and makes great Vietnamese food. I’ve tried a few different items on the menu and I can’t find fault with any of them. Pho, banh mi, rice paper rolls – they’re all good.

The worst grilled chicken Banh Mi I’ve ever had. Tasted like a supermarket BBQ chicken cut up with lemongrass sauce mixed in. Not pleasant and leaked watery fluid all over me. Very unpleasant will not be recommending anyone to go here!

I experienced inferior customer service at this restaurant. I ordered a Veg Noodle Soup and advised them I would have it there. Instead of serving it in a bowl like they usually do, they filled it in a takeaway bowl; when I asked them why they served it as such, the server told me that the boss had taken all the bowls away for a party. However, the person who ordered the soup after me was served in a proper bowl, to which I asked why am I not served in a bowl as its very uncomfortable to have it in a takeaway container. The lady did not even bother to transfer or apologise. I find it to be a racial insult as the person who got served properly was Asian, and I wasn’t. It may not have been their intention, but I find it insulting.

I had the Braised Beef Noodle Soup today with Hor Fun noodles. It wasn’t actually Hor Fun but thin flat rice noodle. The flavour of the soup was surprisingly delicious – the meat tender and the carrots were also perfectly cooked. Soft but not mushy. The noodles were overcooked though but other than that, it was great for what my expectations were!!
