What a gem of a find. We were quite a large group of people, service was excellent and quick with meals, food was very fresh and tasty. I had Dijon Chicken and donuts. There were other various dishes which looked fab. Highly recommend as you can go for a drive if you’re coming from Melbourne and it’s easy to find. Staff were lovely and very accommodating. A number of gluten free options available

Had a great experience here. We ordered the soup special which was sweet potato and pumpkin. It was really yummy. It came with garlic bread which was also good. We decided to order take away on this occasion. The food was ready when promised and the quality was exceptional. Entered the restaurant to collect the food and it had a welcoming, family warm atmosphere. Staff were very friendly. Wonderful Mediterranean lunch at Rubens with great service from friendly staff, will definitely head back when we are next in town. The risotto and gnocchi we had were fantastic but the highlight was of course the zeppole (Italian donuts) which are a delight.

Lovely spot in Hepburn with a lovely outdoor area which was perfect for our evening. Cocktails are very well priced and we’re delicious. Trio of Dips was a great starter and the mains were beautiful. Highly recommend the gnocchi. The only reason it doesn’t get a 5 star is because we requested the meat rare but it was medium well and no steak knife was provided. Besides that great place to have dinner!

Rubens is a cozy Italian restaurant located in the heart of Hepburn, Daylesford. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is friendly and attentive.The gnocchi was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was rich and flavorful. The salmon steak was cooked to perfection, and the pumpkin arancini were light and airy. Service size is great for the price. I highly recommend trying gnocchi if you have the opportunity to dine at Rubens. You won’t be disappointed!

Apon entering the venu the staff were very welcoming vineet the waiter was very friendly great customer service. The food was absolutely amazing great presentation and taste devine i had the Dijon chicken probably the best cooked not dry what so ever the most succulent cooked that ive had at a restaurant my partner had the pasta that was on the takeaway menu and was accomated as she loves more than the normal amount of spice ! The doughnuts are a must try. If your ever are in the area check it out
