Great comfort food. Big portions of delicious food. Would highly recommend the jambalaya, and roast rib burger, plus cauliflower florets. Had great service that accommodated my requests without issue, and made us feel welcome. Will be back to try out the rest of the menu.

Came here with the family and liked the small cosy bar vibe. We ordered a few dishes to share. Ribs, brisket bowl, chicken bowl (we actually ordered the prawn bowl but received the chicken which was a bit disappointing, given the need to remake the dish we decided not to make a big fuss), pork skewers and the jalapenos.

Was going to the state theatre and booked for pre theater for a group of 6. We had a great selection of share plates and soul food between us. The waiter was extremely helpful and recommended the right amount of food for our group. Cocktails were amazing also and service was prompt for our request to be fast for our theatre booking. will definitely return and highly recommend.

Not sure how authentically “southern US” the food here is but we enjoyed the strong, bold flavours of the Slap Ya Mama beef cheeks and the grilled prawns soul bowl. Beef cheeks were so tender and the waffle fries were a winner. Dessert was a deconstructed lime cheesecake. Tasty but would’ve liked a proper cake.

Hipster little soul food spot in middle of the city. Nice decor and helpful staff. Food is not bad though quite expensive. Reasonable if you bring a group so you can taste different dishes and use the discount from the Fork. 3.5 stars

The manager/owner was friendly, attentive, overall great service. I wanted a pie instead of a birthday cake and that peach cobbler pie just did it.

Wow the food, very friendly, welcoming, accommodating staff. We were lucky to come in on a quiet day but I wouldn’t be surprised if this place is pumping on the busier days ! Probably the best beef ribs I’ve had in Sydney definitely very happy I chose that. The burgers didn’t disappoint my colleagues either. Will definitely be having more work team lunches here ☺️
