Ever since the old owner left this place it was one of the best chicken and chip shop you can ever get. After the new owners this place has gone down the hill completely, the old cockroach corner is unfortunately long Gong. I don’t know pacifically where there buy their chicken from, but it tastes like foul chicken, it must be cheap.

I’ve given this place a couple of tries & have had negative experiences each time. First time, she overcharged me when paying with cash. When I questioned it, she said the prices had changed, but they were waiting for a new sign. (4.5 months later, still same sign & same prices shown). Second time, paid by card & ordered a meal. Get home, they didn’t give me the sides that I saw them pack up. Go back, no staff to be found. Eventually got some attention & same lady was like “oh I tried to run after you but didn’t know which way you went”. BS, I was the only customer there & you saw me leave so you knew which way I went.

The old cockroach corner, have fond memories after finishing Bisho’s daily paper run (rip bro) we would tuck into “deluxe” works burgers washed down with banana thick shakes & then put the tips through the pinny back when. Changed hands a few times through the years, but there garlic potatoes are still pretty special !
