Service was great. The atmosphere was great. The portion size however leaves much to be desired, although the food was fresh and clean which was appreciated. The chips were salty and cooked perfectly. Would recommend but be weary the portion size is small. I would eat here more if I got more for my money.

Hands down, my favourite fish and chips joint in Darwin. More expensive than JJs food truck but it’s a reliably delicious product and always fresh and local, which is important to me. I always bring my visitors to sample some Rescue Me when they come to Darwin.

I would like to be able to give Rescue me 5 stars as the first time I had the squid about a year ago it was the best I have had. This last time it was way too salty. I went up to ask if they could replace the order with an unsalted one, but they said it is pre seasoned and only offered to sell me another order. There was also added salt, but even with the batter removed it was very salty. Dissapointed. I hope you can correct whatever happened to the garlic squid. Something has definietly changed. Greek Salad was also very basic for the price.

I heard this place from my work mate and came last night for dinner omg i had seafood basket and pineapple ring with cinamon sugar it was so so so good.. seafood basket looks so fresh and macky was outstandig melt in my mouth, thank you so much team for such a fantastic dinner 100% enjoyed i ll see you soon

Very small portions, spent $47.50 on 4 small fish offcuts that amounted to nearly one decent fillet and a few chips for two people, took it back to show them thinking they had forgotten to give me the 2nd fish I ordered but was told that was it, which I replied ‘is that a joke. We then had to have another dinner when we got home.

Overrated and overpriced! Heaps of pale salty chips (although I requested crunchy chips at 2 occasions) and only small portions of fish. The snapper was so tough it was almost inedible. Certainly not worth the long wait and the price especially as they are not providing enough tables and chairs to have a chance to sit down while waiting and eating. I couldn’t be bothered to return the snapper as I thought they wouldn’t have cared anyway given the general attitude of the staff. Not going back anymore after 2 attempts mainly because of the nice location. Bring your own food and sit down on the provided public tables and benches or your own outdoor chairs!
