This place used to be very good with the exception of one time. But during the week I finally made my way back to North Lakes Westfield, and… I got this sad disappointment.

This place used to be so good, not sure why but the quality of the food has declined massively.

Ordered chicken karaage that came with rice and vegetables. Meal was inexpensive and portion size was large.

You get, what you pay for. Cheap sushi, for okay sushi. It’s not 5 stars, but it’s adequate for the prices they charge.

I ordered Pork katsudon as a lunch today. Very poor quality. It has 5 pieces on rice. Katsu itself look not fresh, has red spots. I think they keep Katsu in the fridge and used when it was ordered. I don’t know how long this katsu stayed in the fridge or freezer. I had few sips and chuck it into bin. Very disappointed.

We ordered the Japanese curry (chicken and pork). The curry itself was saltier than what I am used to, the rice was well cooked, not clumped in any particular place which is excellent to see. Garnished with broccoli, carrot and beetroot, they we’re all well-cooked though the carrot on my curry was a little soft for my liking and the broccoli was a fairly large tree (merely personal problems). Moving on to the meat, it was obvious that the meat was cooked in the moment with the batter being very nicely coated and a small amount of scorching on the surface. Overall a very pleasant tasting curry. It’s a little more expensive than most places and they offer only one size (seems like a large bowl) to which I would say that the higher price was not necessarily worth it.

The Japanese curry (pork and chicken) was saltier then we usually experience. Meat was crisp and seemed freshly cooked. Rice had a nice texture. The veg was a little undercooked for my liking though. Overall it was a pleasant experience and would try again when I the area. – The Curry Critique 1
