The original Ramen Danbo shop opened in the year 2000 in the town of Chikushino, located halfway between Hakata and Kurume in Fukuoka, located on the southern island of Kyushu, with a unique focus on quality and taste. After placing number one in a TV poll of top ramen shops, from humble beginnings, the single shop became a chain and expanded quickly throughout Kyushu, followed by the rest of Japan.

The service is great , the speed of the food delivered was good . It was hard to judge the ramen considering I just come back from Japan . The meat and noodle portion was average and the soup was light , thin and had a subtle flavour , don’t add chilli to the Ramen or else you want be able to taste the soup at all . I would visit again

Very underwhelming. They over season their brine which has no taste so you get a really rich flavour with spices and not umami, the way it. Is meant to be. I would not come back. Look at that it’s like beach sand at the bottom of my bowl!!!

I personally love the ramen and how you can customise every step. But my partner thinks it’s average. The chicken karage strip is not the greatest as it tasted just like chicken breast strips not much taste but ramen was excellent. The Japanese music is quite high pitch sometimes and somewhat annoying. Great customer service though.

This is a modern ramen place that is so popular that a visit needs to be timed carefully or you will have to wait in a queue to get a table. Although the decor is pretty, it is somewhat sterile. Ordering is done through an app so the human interaction is reduced to saying ‘thank you’ to the server and to the cashier. Service is quick and the food is nice enough. Each item has a price, unlike in other ramen shops that serve kaedama and/or side pickles free of charge. It was okay.

Ramen and broth is not bad; get to choose softness of the noodle and saltiness and flavour of the broth. For the price, amount given is on the little side so not the best value for money compared to other noodle places nearby. Extra condiments can be added for extra cost. Gyoza also available.
