My new local. Went Sunday night and enjoyed the delicious Sunday Roast, washed down with some excellent Guinness – top marks to the bartenders for knowing how to pour and let settle! The menu is diverse and delicious, served by wonderfully attentive staff. Ambiance (towards to back) was comfortable and relaxing. Looking forward to returning again this coming weekend. So disappointed with our food after all the hype. Salt and pepper squid was oily and the aioli only added oil. No salt and pepper and no lemon ♀️ Mozzarella sticks ok. T-bone was broiled and had no char and no rendering of the fat. Honestly it was a huge waste of money. The beef brisket was like eating dryish sliced (that’s a first for beef brisket) corned beef cooked in a kg of saxa salt. The meals looked and smelt unappetizing and we so wished we didn’t eat them!! The chips were fridge cold. The red wine was past its keep date and not enjoyable. Beer was good!! So disappointed to give this review as we were so looking forward to it.

The food here is so good. I moved here from the eastern suburbs in Sydney and the food at this pub exceeds all expectations. The Sunday roast was incredible, the beef cheek never disappoints and I’m getting a bit embarrassed about how often I eat here but it’s because the food is so good. Staff are always friendly and the wine list is well chosen and has something for everyone.

Came here for a birthday lunch, the food was fantastic. I had the beef brisket. So good, except the corn lacked flavour/spices. The malbec was great, and it looked like the whiskey selection was interesting. Good friendly service, but one point taken off for all the TV screens.

Shame on you management for sacking the friendliest and most popular barmaid Aleta without proper reason or a warning .she was a local favourite and always had a smile on her face,her service was second to none. The local patrons have put together a petition to get her reinstated, untill she is reinstated my family and I will be looking for another establishment for our weekly gathering. Such a shame as we enjoyed the atmosphere and the service given by Aleta. I wonder what Mr singleton thinks about this poor management decision.

It’s truly an escape from the centre of Gosford. The opulent vibes and warm timber interior makes for a great steakhouse/saloon vibe. I got the Wagyu X steak which was divine and the Railway burger which is a menu necessity but I think could be improved. Cocktail for good measure for delicious! Great assistance from the team.
