Great little deli/cafe, with a great array of produce from around the world. Wines, prosciutti, cheeses, breads, oils, vinegars, tinned delights of all sorts – along with good coffee and a menu of yummy breakfasts and snacks. Takeaway as well. Pleasant service and reasonable prices top it all off.

What a great gem of Beechworth to find an establishment that offers a good menu range of fresh quality ingredients coupled with great service. We had the home-made gnocchi that had the potato pillows soft & hot all the way to the end of the meal – outstanding. Coupled with the locally sourced beverages & coffees while having our backs drenched in the warm winter sun while sitting at the Cafe style street tables. This made for a very memorable stay over in Beechworth.

I have been to project 49 when it was located on the opposite side of the road and although smaller the service and quality was incredible. Unfortunately I visited on Good Friday, the staff were truly shocking, very little customer service skills, talked like you weren’t right there in front of them. I ordered two coffees, it was a busy day but at the time there wasn’t many people around. After ordering, a few others entered and ordered coffees etc, what frustrated me was they were given their orders before mine even though my order was put through first. I had to go and ask and it was only then it was prepared without any apology issued. Frustratingly the coffee was burnt and not nice at all after 25min wait it is likely the last time I’ll come here. Now I understand why many locals complain about the service.
