Absolutely one of my favourite places to eat for a delicious bahn mi. I always come here to order their Deal 10 with their Vietnamese coffee. The pork load bahn mi (which is cold cut meats) is delicious. All their sandwiches are filled with carrot, cucumber, coriander and spring onions. Their pate is deliciously savoury. Definitely recommend this humble, family-run restaurant!

They have a variety of lunch specials to choose from, so that’s pleasantly surprising. Initially wanted to order the lemon chicken with rice, but was recommended that I should choose their vermicelli or fried rice or noodle instead. It was a good choice, as I rather enjoyed the chicken hokkien noodle.

Lunch was ok, though the Chicken satay tasted like it had been microwaved. The restaurant could be a bit cleaner. We didn’t drink the free water as the one we got had some dirt inside the spout, some others were almost empty. The staff were friendly though, so if we go back I’ll ask for their dish recommendations.

Mush Room

Went here for a quick lunch and coffee today. Ordered the banh mi and ice coffee – very reasonably priced as were the other items on their menu. I recommend going here for a lunch time visit, they have a great $12 lunchtime deal. Food was very tasty, but I have to say the cà phê sữa đá ( ice coffee) was the best – could taste the coffee and the condensed milk and wasn’t too sweet. Definitely better than the alternatives around. Staff were very nice, ultimately it is a local gem and I will keep going here!
