If you love Peking duck, then this is the place to go. Very crispy skin and delicious duck. Order the fried rice with the duck set menu ($70) and it was a delicious combination. You get about 12 pieces of duck, fried rice and duck soup, which is enough for 3 people. This where we go to get our duck fix.

Tried this place as it was still open after 9pm. They have a three course Peking Duck for $70 but it was a little too late for us to have a large meal.

For a Chinese restaurant, Old Kingdom doesn’t seem to want Chinese patrons. Their menu is all English, except for the first page about the Peking duck course. Although English is the default, speaking Chinese at a Chinese restaurant can be easier sometimes. We originally tried to speak Cantonese but they gave us a confused look as though we were aliens. Turns out their whole staff communicate to each other in fluent Cantonese.

Booking is recommended, as they probably need to prepare the ducks prior. One of the better Peking Duck in Melbourne. Delicious crispy skin with duck ribs in broth, and stir fried bean sprouts. $70 is enough to feed two, you’d need a takeaway box if you order extra noodles or fried rice. Attentive staff and fast service, good value for money. Just make sure to bring cash otherwise CBA atm is right across the road.

The peking duck cooked to perfection, crispy skin and succulent meat, wish that the pancakes were bit softer however it still great they make the best stir fry bean sprouts I’ve ever had in my life. It was so flavourful and delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant
