Amazing dining experience, the food is delicious. The staff are very busy as the place is always packed since it’s so very popular, they do a great job keeping orders moving. Plenty of parking available which is nice. Perfect for families of all sizes. We made reservations in advance using their online service which was great! Love the food, will keep coming back for more!

Okami is basically a staple in Melbourne now. With restaurants all over the place, all delivering the same foods. Food was good as usual. Highly recommend the beed carpaccio. Had a bit of trouble with service. We got the green tea and one of our teacups had a crack in it. We asked for a replacement. It took a really long time to be replaced. So we called on another waiter to bring us one and he wanted to charge us for it. We explained that we already paid for the cups we need, we just needed one exchanged. He was very skeptical of our request. Before this waiter came back, our first waiter came back and apologised for forgetting our cup. Then the 2nd waiter came back with another cup. They need a better system. Also, make sure after you order the first round of food, to order a second round before the first finishes. They take really long to bring out the next rounds, probably a play to reduce serving. But as long as you know how to play the game, you’ll be fine.

Okami as a chain is great and I have visited a few different stores with all of them being sufficient. However I noticed the beef was constantly overcook each time we asked for it which it just wasn’t my preference and the steamed rice came after 40 minutes but overall food was great. Unfortunately the service was a little more poor than what I expected with being given random extra plates of food and when we decline the server kept on implying that we forgot we ordered it, and this became a consistent trend on the day occurring many times.

Worst service ever half hour before we were served. Rudest staff I have come across. Food sat on a bench while staff took payment of other customers then tried to serve it colder than the food already is. Go to wantirna so much better. Would have given no stars if I could.

Absolutely fantastic experience. The venue was really well thought out and designed, and the all you can eat (about $36.50 pp) was incredible given the quality and selection of food. Will be making this our new regular- have ordered food delivered from here before, but the only way to experience it is dining in! Good to reserve a spot – they fill up on weekends in particular. Great selection of vegetarian meals as well (not so good on the GF front) and will be highly recommending to everyone. Thanks for a great experience and night out Okami!

Each time we have visited the food has been fresh and full of flavour…. staff have been professional, polite and really friendly.. would recommend bringing a jacket or jumper as the temperature is often a bit on the low side

Went to Okami Pakenham on a Tuesday night and we were there for 2 hours and were only served twice which is really disappointing. There were plenty of staff walking around clearing tables and behind the bar, however no one was taking orders and so we were only able to order when we waved someone to our table after waiting almost 45 minutes each time. The food is great but am unsure if we will be returning as it doesn’t feel like an all you can eat restaurant anymore.

To be honest the wait time is what made is disappointing then when food came spring rolls we’re soggy and not crispy at all tempura wasn’t crispy just oily and undercooked . When we ordered dessert my kids ordered Icecream it came quick then they wanted some more we ordered and it never came so we left and paid . We won’t be coming back to be honest at this moment . Surely something can be done about the waiting time . Also for a tables food to be brought out all at once instead of people waiting while others are eating this is a Nono . The service really needs to be better the staff were kind but that’s it . Not staff bring out a whole lot of one food and dispersing it to all the tables in sight . Food was excellent, but they have charged 5 people instead of 4, when I ask the refund they said, it will be transferred to my bank account after 3-5 days. Also waiter lady said tea pot is $3 and it can be refilled after, so we ordered 2 pots and they have charged for 5. When I ask about this they said they are charging for no of people. So pls check your bill before paying at the counter.
