Great country bakery. Custard tart was delicious. And my steak, bacon and cheese pie was yum. My only gripe is that the pie was described as ‘steak’ but it is just mince. Calling it ‘steak’ made me think it would be a chunky pie. They have the full complement of baked goods you’d hope for at a country bakery – neenish tarts, eclairs, apple turnovers, cheesymite scrolls, as well as bahn mi and rice paper rolls.

Not friendly at all, the weirdest florentine I have ever had. Not really a Florentine at all when compared to other florentines that I have had in the last 30 years. It was late in the afternoon and they were still open but didn’t really want to provide any service. Wouldn’t make a coffee and couldn’t offer a suggestion about where I could get one.

Worst beef pies and sausage rolls we have ever had. We had a bite because we were starving but man, we couldn’t bring ourselves to eat them pies and sausages. The mince meat was tasteless even our dog turned his nose against it! We had to throw them in the bin unfortunately. We stopped here during our road trip on 27 December 2021 and since they were the only shop open after 3pm we didn’t have a choice. Rude staff to boot.

Stopped in to the Oberon Bakehouse the other day and ordered two sausage rolls. Fantastic quick service even though the store was busy. I would recommend if you are passing through the Oberon area.

Wow just wow.. the lady in charge has no clue how to speak to customers and her teenage staff too. Very rude behaviour and the moment we paid she goes move out of shop, btw we were their as we realised she hasn’t charge us for one of the item. Just pathetic experience on a freezing windy day in Oberon.
