We arrived Thursday evening in Cairns, Friday we visited Muddy’s Cafe for the first time for breakfast … we have been back every day following. Today Sunday 27 Aug, we had lunch for the last time as we fly out early tomorrow morning. We had breakfast, lunch and dinners the past four days – absolutely fantastic.

It’s an open-air cafe with a great view. It is very crowded and lively, but it is a comfortable place. The portion of one dish is big, so it’s hard to eat all of it. It might be better to share with the people who are with you. Water is free and self-service. I loved the paper cup design.

A wonderful array of choices of nutritious foods, smoothies and juices. Excellent service and beautiful views over the water and conveniently next to the playground. We ate in and I felt disappointed to receive plastic cups. Could you consider bio cups or reusable? Then it would be 5 stars!

We had the pleasure of eating here for breakfast and or lunch over the 10 days we were in Cairns on retreat at a local hotel. Food was incredible, speedy service despite always being busy, and the loveliest staff. Highly recommend a visit and especially the Granola bowl. So many gluten free options which made for such a pleasant stay! Thanks Muddy’s team!

Vibrant cafe on the waterfront right next to a park. Great to bring children and have a quick meal. We ordered three big brekkie meals and a burger + potato gems for four people for breakfast. We also ordered an ice coffee, a smoothie, and two coffees and the drinks came out AFTER the breakfast which took a while.

Muddy’s Cafe seems to be a very popular spot as it is always super crowded, even during off season. It is quite difficult to find a spot to sit. The vibe is very chilled with a view of the esplanade. The menu offers great food but not too many vegan options. The staff is friendly but the service takes a good long time as the place is so crowded all the time.

Great fish taco, or any fish items. Generous amount and quality. Almond croissant is also very tasty, full of almond paste filling. Burger is full of flavor! Right next to the Muddy playground, so it’s great place for family with kids.

We’ve been to Muddy’s twice since arriving in Cairns, and it has been great! We had brekky and coffee one day, and dinner tonight. Everything we’ve had was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is wonderful, with outside seating and views of the ocean. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Emil is especially kind and attentive. I highly recommend!
