Every dish was prepared with so much love and packed with mouthwatering flavours, that you will appreciate each bite you take. I would suggest trying the chicken biryani and chicken tikka masala, the food tasted authentic and is halal. The service was excellent, with a friendly wait staff and quick delivery of food, and the portions were also quite generous. The unique taste of the dishes is sure to leave you eager to return and try more items from the menu.

Worst ever experience with Memories of India Darwin. Made me wait for 40 minutes after saying that my food will be ready in 5 minutes. After so much wait they missed 2 items in order. Quantity of food was also not worth the money. Plus the staff is very rude arrogant and unprofessional. Would not recommend to anyone. Worst experience.

Memories of India in Darwin is a great Indian restaurant with a delightful ambiance. They offer variety of Indian dish in a generous portions compared to other places, and the food is delicious too. However, during busy times, they could improve efficiency , and I think better plating and presentation of food would also enhance the overall experience.

Food was fantastic. Our only feedback was we asked for mild and it was very spicy and literally had whole chillies in the dal. Delicious for me but too hot for my 3-year-old.

They have one of the worst beef biriyani ever. The beef pieces are very dry and tasteless. Had the Punjabi chicken curry as suggested by the staff that it’s best selling but the curry was disgusting and very oily, I have no idea how it could be best selling. Waste of money!

This is third time happening something like this with us. Yeah we still eat because it’s our nearest option and my husband is vegetarian so out of options sometimes we have to order or take food from here. We ordered one chicken biryani and one vegetarian biryani and now in an hour me and my husband’s both has severe stomach pain and is upset. We felt when we started eating that the rice is old because it was all dried up but it was late for dinner and we were so tired, we still ate. We might have to see doctor if this doesn’t stop till morning but is way too much for low quality food, doesn’t mean anything if it just tastes good but the quality of food matters the most.

Food was average at best and portions fairly small. Paid for our table of 4 which I didn’t mind spending $185 for given we had 3 entrees, curry and rice each. 3 out of 4 of us had a soft drink too however when I asked for an itemised receipt the staff were unable to charge for drinks and put this down as nan’s instead at 5 and 6.90 each. We were charged for more than what we actually bought and when I questioned this two staff could not understand what I was explaining and insisted I was charged correctly. I tried to explain that we were over charged a drink (written down as a nan at $5) as I had table water for myself and everyone else had a drink. However they insisted the charge was correct and that each person was to be charged a drink each…I just accepted this at the time as it was not worth the embarrassment and hassle however just be aware they may try rip you off too. Check your receipts and be aware portions are very small for a curry which you pay approx $28 for. Rice at $5.50 a serve is like the 2 min packet rice you put in the microwave from woolworths.
