Food is always excellent and service today was first class. Friendly and efficient. Sweet and sour pork never disappoints and the chilli prawns were fantastic. I always forget to give the 24 hours notice for the Peking duck. Next time!

As we entered the restaurant, we were not welcomed. After a while some one asked us if we had a reservation. We didn’t. Most of the tables had ‘reserved’ lable. Fortunately there was a table available for two. We ordered homemade Curry, greens and rice for two. The food was delicious!! Very tasty – unique flavor. Enjoyed it! As the reserved seats were being filled by the customers, the owner seem to know everyone and even welcomed a few with a hand shake and a big smile. The cost came to be AUD 54. While paying for the food, at the counter, the owner didn’t even look at us. Made us feel like we were a burden to them. I guess one has to reserve a table first, to get the welcome.

Great Chinese restaurant, long time Manly establishment. Delivers every time! Chilli spicy prawns are excellent, as are lamb pancakes. Atmosphere a bit stark, but just enjoy the food – takeaway also excellent and quick. Enjoy!

This used to be the best Chinese food in Sydney, I have been ordering for 20 years and never had a bad meal. BUT, this has changed hands now and the service and quality of food is very poor. Such a shame and a bad legacy. expect to wait 2 hour on your delivery and for the food to be stodgy. If you call to check on your food, expect to be hung up on.

Great Chinese food. Nicest food on the northern beaches. Very quick takeaway. You can see why they have been in business for 20 odd years. We had salt and pepper prawns and Mongolian lamb.

Delicious food, lovely and attentive service and great value. Thoroughly enjoyed tonight’s dinner, the food was fresh, tasty and a level up from your standard neighbourhood Chinese. Highly recommended.

While food received was generally good, we had to wait over an hour longer than advised pickup tonight, and order was incomplete when opened at home. Disappointing service

We always love the food here but its relatively expensive. I recently ordered a takeaway and arrived about 20 minutes later to find my $80 of food sitting on the counter near the register, getting cold. Now, I am no food expert but I think this type food should be served warm. When left in plastic containers sitting on a cold counter, it will not stay warm. When I pointed this out to the owner, with the arrogance of a Michelin starred chef he responded “next time you should arrive on time” (I was told it would be ready “in about 15 minutes”). Again I am no expert, but I would think that even a Michelin starred chef would have the capacity to keep food warm SOMEWHERE (in the kitchen??) and it should not be up to his customers to instruct him on the very basics of food preparation. Our $80 two mains, rice and two soups were cold when we go home ten minutes later. I suppose this type of restaurant owner arrogance (and ignorance of health standards) reflects the dearth of decent Chinese restaurants in the Manly area, particularly ones which offer hot food at reasonable prices. My advice for takeaway customers is don’t order here, but if you do, make sure YOU are not late to pick up your $25 fried chicken because the owner does not believe he has any responsibility to even ATTEMPT to keep your food hot. And whatever you do, if he is ignoring the most basic tenets of food safety and hospitality, just keep your mouth shut because you are ONLY a customer.
