What a beautiful experience. Run by a mother and son duo, I can tell that their heart and soul goes into every part of the restaurant. Dined here for the first time and we were very impressed. The food was a modern fine dining take on traditional Shanghainese cuisine which is hard to come across in Brisbane. Every dish was presented beautifully and was super tasty. The chef was so lovely and really passionate about food which showed when he took the time to explain each dish to us and shared his knowledge on the history of Chinese cooking. Favourite dish was the bamboo scallion noodle and the chicken! Definitely worth a visit.

Had the most incredible dining experience at Magnolia. Opted for the 7 course degustation to celebrate a birthday. Every course looked (and tasted) like a work of art. The experience was enriched by the chef who explained every course in detail. It was wonderful to hear about the origins and inspiration behind every dish, and clearly his passion translated beautifully into every course. Every element on the plate was so purposeful and illustrated how much thought went into designing the menu. The team also went above and beyond to make sure my friend felt extra special on her birthday, which was so thoughtful and much appreciated. Will definitely be back and will be recommending Magnolia to anyone who will listen ✨
