LEAF is the traditional Japanese style small restaurant on the mountain. We pride ourselves on providing delicious, flesh and healthy food, as well as Japanese-style service that allows us to share a wonderful time with our customers. It is highly recommended that you book your seats early, as they are fully booked every weekend. Open only Dinner Tuesday to Sunday night 5pm-8:30pm ( Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday be closed 7:30pm ) *Especially Weekend, it is very busy so takeaway order takes 45-90 minutes sorry.

We had mushroom gyozas, tempura miso eggplant & agedashi tofu to share. All the dishes were amazing, gyozas were crispy one side just as they should be. The light, crispy coating on the tofu and broth of the agedashi dish were absolutely delicious. The tempura eggplant had lovely texture and taste too. We have been to Japan several times and appreciate authentic Japanese food. It was fantastic to find such excellent Vegan Japanese options so close to home.

Cute little Japanese restaurant in Mt Tambourine. It was easy to book a table online and there was a great variety of food. There were dishes that were gluten and vegan friendly as well. My vege udon was perfect for a cold evening. All the other dishes looked delicious too!

After a long hiking Sunday we decided to try out this japanese restaurant without expecting too much. But our expectations were more than exceeded! The food was extremely good and the ingredients were super fresh. The japanese staff was very friendly and all in all the food is an extremely good value for that price! We didn’t try other restaurants around but it would have been really hard to beat what Leaf has to offer…

Quaint, unpretentious and delicious. I was super excited to see okonomiyaki on the menu and even more amazed when they offered to substitute in some tempura veggies to make a veg option. It was served sizzling on a hotplate with cheese on top, both of which was unexpected, but I could get used to that 🙂 I would have loved some pickled ginger with it, but didn’t think to ask. Their matcha and black sesame ice creams also come in generous servings. An absolutely delightful find!

My birthday dinner was amazing. Ordered miso eggplant , salmon hotate carpaccio, salmon and verges agebitashi, sizzling seafood fried rice and home made mushrooms dumplings , heads down for all the food and hospitality, all staff and owner were so polite. Also she made my birthday cake and bloody yummy ( chestnut cake )
