As a tourist with a family of 5 coming from Singapore, I felt so welcomed by the friendly staff of Hickory Slow. I truly appreciate their warmth. The food is just as amazing as their service. We ordered a lot. We had both the spicy wings and honey wings, meat combo for 2 and few more dishes including non-alcoholic and alcoholic cocktails. The beef brisket was so tender! The spicy wings are real delicious. If you’re Asian, the spicy wings are not spicy at all. But they are full flavoured. The ribs were thick and meaty. The mustard dip added an extra texture to the meal. Highly recommended if you’re staying on Tamborine Mountain for 2 or 3 nights.

Little restaurant in a little group of shops in Tambourine. It’s a cute little place with atmosphere. The food is cooked by a couple of young people in the back Portions are massive and they have some signature dishes that are awesome. Ask them what they recommend, but expect a very meat oriented menu.

Brisket was dry and clearly not cooked within 24 hrs of service. Had simply been pulled out of fridge and re-heated. Only 8 onions rings per serve. Pulled pork roll was excellent though. Would not recommend the drive if staying on the GC.

Absolutely delicious! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I had the Love Me LongTime cocktail with the loaded fries and my partner had the Forever Young with pork ribs and wings and we shared a brownie with ice-cream. Everything tasted great and serving portions were spot on. Not too pricey as well. Overall 5 star and my partner said he would drive just for the maple wings!

Hickory never disappoints! We hadn’t visited for some time and were delighted to find the food and service remains excellent. The brisket was absolutely delicious as usual as were the chicken wings. Highly recommended!!

Staff were so lovely and understanding even when we had to push back the date of our reservation, and while serving us, and the food was even better than the service (and do you know how difficult it is to top five star service?) we didn’t get everything on the menu but we did get a lot so I can recommend just about it all!

Food was not what we expected. The smoked sausage was a few pieces in a tiny dish. The smashed sweet potato was a mish mash of weird flavours which should never be included in one dish. The brisket slice was quite small considering the price. All up our bill was $92 including a wine and a beer and it was definitely not value for money.
