Interesting little place to dine. All food ordered via a ipad at the table and delivered via a sushi train. Very nice presentation and found the food to be quite tasty, but not a lot of prawn or meat filling for the price.

Overpriced. Food is tasty and try to stick as much as possible to the original flavor, but far away from a high-end Japonese resturant. The portion size are terrible small, the presentation is plain and the restaurant layout, included the glassware and chairs are average. The service is informal and the menu is quite short.

Lovely meal with beautiful food and entertaining ‘train delivery’ service. Pork belly nigiri was melt in mouth deliciousness. Very good value for top quality food and presentation. Thank you for a lovely experience!

Beautifully decorated throughout, very modern, professional and upmarket feel. Absolutely loved the trainlike delivery and pickup, what a fabulous idea! Loved our quaint little room (only inches bigger than our table, and bench seats), cute undertable lighting, jacket hooks, very private where we were seated. Delicious meals, order from extensive menu with photos, or standard written menu, on ipads assigned to your table (2 on our table of 6), and item is delivered by trainlike thing in no time at all, and you press return on ipad to send it back, whether you load it with empty plates etc or not!! Great set up, entertaining delivery! NO shared payment upon leaving, although pay ID makes this quite simple in this day and age. Great food, mostly reasonably priced, lots to choose from, wonderful food presentation. Lovely staff and great service, although everything done by the trainlike delivery system!

Everything we ordered was nice, I especially liked the pumpkin agedashi tofu. Probably the only downside would be that there could be a couple more items on the menu for those that aren’t super sushi people (e.g. tempura veges, some more chicken sushi options, etc). In saying that, everything was delicious & you just have to go in knowing that it’s quite traditional with the menu options & know that you might be a little restricted with what you order.

We had a lunch at Kosaten. The experience was so cool, with our orders coming straight out of the kitchen on a conveyor belt (a Japanese taste of tech & fun).

The place itself is nice on the inside, I quite liked the décor. The staff were friendly and nice, but the food was slow. I ordered a Teriyaki Bento Box, but I did not like it one bit. It was served cold, didn’t taste good and had weird textures. It looks stunning sure, but the taste is probably the worst i have had in years. Not recommended, at all.

The best Japanese food we’ve ever eaten this side of Japan. So much flavour, so much variety, loads of veg options. The pace at which the food comes out is astounding which made dining with the littlies so much easier. Will be back every time we’re in Launceston.
