We came with a Groupon voucher for an 8-course vegetarian banquet and it was excellent value for money. We requested everything to be vegan, which was no trouble for them. The courses included miso soup, edamame, agedashi tofu, nasu dengaku (eggplant), vegan fried chicken, rolled-up crunchy tofu skin with rice, sushi rolls, and dessert.

Eating here right now! Nearly full house! Very fast service – got in 5 mins ago and just got served warm sake in this very cold night! We have ordered deluxe sashimi and sushi set, soft shell crab salad, and soy beans marinated! Everything is super yum！

Good quality food & nice seating, but far too overpriced in my opinion. The portions are pretty standard but the miso serving was particularly disappointing.

We ordered the scotch fillet and karaage chicken udon for takeaway. Taste-wise, the dishes were fine, although not authentic Japanese cuisine (but we weren’t expecting that). However, the portion size of the scotch fillet ($26) was overwhelmingly disappointing. I actually recommend the restaurant removes the dish from the menu to avoid creating an experience for customers that would deter them from returning.

Our 2nd visit to this Japanese Izakaya. Love their sushi sashimi platter, my all time favourite, they also have tako wasabi! Yummy yum yum!

This place is the best Japanese on smith street! You will be served so well and your belly will be full. Look how happy my friends are after amazing Japanese curry, sushi, udon noodle soup and the BEST gyoza. PKU friendly 🙂
