We enjoyed an early lunch stop here and really loved the cottage pie with peas and a plain chunky with peas. Shallow dish pie with a flakey top and a firm base .. an easy robust one handed pie if necessary. Friendly, helpful staff. Cafe tables and chairs outside. Plenty of parking with safe area to stretch the legs.

The bread is some of the best I have ever bought – and I’m a fussy guy! Consistently excellent quality, and good variety of sourdoughs and ryes, plus spelt (rarely found) and many with walnuts, olive, chilli, etc. I live 80km away, but buy bulk when I drive past.
