The worst experience ever. Politely, l did address with them from the starters that the food is not fresh only to experience the dishes. What a disaster, had one bite and left the restaurant. I am European but l swear if you give me a bag of curry and chilli l can do a better job than the so called experience chef they had that night. If you read this review it’s best you use your $ elsewhere.

We were there especially for Nepalese thali but the food we got was totally joke. Poor Portion, taste and freshness. Food wasn’t even that hot. Staff were good but there service was too slow, we got our first and fifth thali in the difference of almost 5 minutes in same table . Spicy potato and sukuti set was mitho mitho mitho but improve your thali guys.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely Nepalese restaurant in Brisbane. I was in Brisbane for short holiday from Melbourne and was lucky to visit Nepalese restaurant, Kathmandu Newa Chhe’n. The service and food is unmatched to any of the Nepalese restaurants in Australia. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in our mouths. Absolutely the best food we had while in Brisbane. Highly recommend !

A slice of Nepal tucked away in a cozy spot, lots of options for vegetarians and vegans and majority of dishes are under $15. Their mango lassi is a MUST; even just writing this I’m regretting not getting a second. We loved the floor seating options. Some staff seemed a bit confused but overall was a good experience, would definitely recommend a visit.
