Like many others here we were lured in by the crowd but didn’t check google reviews before. We got the seafood basket ($35) – The chips weren’t crispy and the seafood was rubbery and tasted off. The batter was also half cooked. Only sauces provided were 2 small prepackaged tartare sauce & 3 lemon slices. The only redeeming factor was that the fish piece was decent.

Enjoyed my crunchy large piece of fresh battered fish. Chips need to be crispier but still enjoyable and generous portion for only $10.50. Lovely helpful staff.

Today I have ordered the grilled salmon and it was everything but salmon. I threw the second piece. The chips was amazing though. With such pricing someone would expect a fair quality. The fish and chips was below average too.

Shocked by how awful the taste is. Went there for the burgers from next door which was amazing (their rating is 4.9!), then while waiting was lured by the crowd to this one. Really shocking how grilled seafood could be this bad cos usually seafood tastes great whichever way you grill it! Really should’ve checked the rating:(

Had lunch here for Easter Saturday. You would think being a busy weekend full of tourists visiting that everything would be fresh. Tasted like the oil hadn’t been changed in months, chips where soggy and the fish floury and dripping with oil. We asked for tartare instead of the tomato sauce in the pack and instead still received tomato. When going back to request tartare we where told we would have to pay an extra $1 for a tiny squeezy sachet of tartare. Won’t be back. Poorly run and bad quality food. We felt sick after eating it and I’m surprised we didn’t end up with food poisoning.

we bought fishcocktsils ,potato scollops ,battered sav and some calamari rings. The fish was no good ,.the scollops and calamari were reheated no fresh .the battered asv had little batter on it. we just wasted our money , we never come back .food was awful.

My boyfriend and I had been to Jimbo’s Seafoods two years earlier and I really liked the freshness and taste of the food! We were going back to The Entrance and were shocked to see the latest reviews and low ratings but were pleasantly surprised! The food is still as tasty as I remember and it is great value too! A great place to eat!

Brought lunch from this place today looks are deceiving because it looks like a fair dinkum aussie fish and chip joint instead what you get served is soggy chips, over cooked greasy fish cocktails & calamari and soggy chips with a ridiculous portion of flathead that was lathered in flour partly grilled. So because the women behind the counter was intimidating I went next door to Burger World and they made me a double Angus burger in 9 minutes. I suggest you walk passed the poor excuse for a fish and chips place and go to anywhere else.
