Great little take away nestled in Cessnock , we bought fish and chips cooked to perfection , lightly battered fish and old school hand cut chips , off street carpark , outdoor seating and disabled entrance , full takeout menu , lollies and drinks available , also a great family park just up the road ( one minute drive)

We’ve been coming here regularly for a couple of years now, but this was our last time. Food took 45 mins to be made, and when we got it, the calamari was stringy and the other food was completely tasteless and the fish was even watery. I saw a staff member walk into the shop with supermarket frozen calamari, which obviously meant they had run out. Instead of just telling us they were out, they gave us that rubbish which was absolutely disgusting. If I wanted supermarket calamari, I would have bought it myself. I’m so disappointed, as we always look forward to this when we’re in Cessnock. Never again!

Only customer at the store at the time, have ordered quite a bit of food and realised we needed meat from the butcher’s next door too. Given I got my hands full, decided to put the food in my car, which was the only car in the ‘private’ carpark and run next door to grab the meet. Came back out and owner (or one of the employees) was heavily annoyed at the fact we did that. Safe to say their relationship with the butcher’s next door is not good.

Absolutely appalling service.. over half an hour wait for a small chips and bit of fish. I asked for a refund and got food else where. Staff are very rude swearing and complaining about customers that called in their orders. I highly reccomend going elsewhere if you are hungry

Pulled up in their empty carpark and darted into the butchers while my son decided what he wanted from the takeaway for lunch. I came back to my car to a tirade of abuse from a middle aged semi autistic man telling me angrily that I can’t park there.

I parked in the private car park to this place, as I was getting my infant son out of my car so I could go in and order, I was approached by a Karen who took photos of my car and told me I was being reported for trespassing and illegal parking. I got back in my car and went elsewhere for food.

Customer service was excellent. Staff were friendly and we received our order quickly. The food was very greasy though. We ordered thick shakes but they were more like milkshakes and definitely needed more flavour. Not a bad experience, and glad I tried them, but may try elsewhere next time.

Ordered chips at every place in Cessnock area, jens is so far the best and incredible chi pos, scollops and everything, everywhere else has been garbage to a point i swore off hot chips forever but I’ll go back here, and never anywhere else, most places have been so bad our chooks got the chips, because they werw inedible, these chips are incredible.
