It’s a cozy ramen place, very intimate. Good for dates and catch up.

Delicious food, almost always with a line at the door. Service is efficient and dishes are good quality but the serving size is quite small. Menu is not expensive either but they have extra charge on Sunday and public holiday.

Had the most amazing pork katsu here. Perfectly crispy and served with the most delicious sauces. Really hit the spot. Pleasantly surprised as it’s more of a ramen joint. Also had super attentive staff which was a plus.

After some recommendations from the Ramen Gang Facebook group I decided to try this while in Melbourne. Well, they weren’t wrong and I enjoyed a fabulous dinner with them. Contacted them as I touched down at Melbourne Airport and an hour later was sat opposite the chefs station watching all the action. They have a cool way of ordering, you basically order from a colouring pad and if you need help they are very welcoming. I had the Yuzu Kosho Yonkotsu, Chicken Karaage, a Sake and Umeshu tasting plate and a large beer ( I had been travelling!!). Do yourself a favour, get down here, enjoy the vibe, enjoy the food, heck even enjoy the Sake!!

The ramen broth was fine HOWEVER, we had to get our water glasses replaced TWICE before we were given clean ones. The service was fine but not sure it’s the cleanest operation in town.

Ramen is absolutely amazing, you have so many options to customise it, including the option to choose how heavy and rich the broth is. The sapporo beer ontap is delicious, similar to a great northern which works well with the ramen. The service is great, the vibe is casual. And it’s not overly packed. If you’re looking at trying a ramen place definitely try this.

We have another contender in the ramen wars and it’s getting very spicy!

Definitely some of the best ramen we’ve had, Australia-wide. The flavour of the broth is next-level and the black garlic is a must-try. Overall, the restaurant feels very authentic, our waiter was super friendly and funny, kept us entertained. And our food came out insanely fast (to be fair – it was a quiet evening).

I haven’t personally been to Fukuoka and had the ramen there, but compared to the standard tonkotsu Ramen I had in Tokyo, Osaka or Sapporo. It was just okay.

Gensuke is much better even queuing. This place is overpriced. First of all they put a note stated that this restaurant is not fast food but everything was so slow.
