A must do when in the Highlands and for us a local fav. Great selection of local craft beers. The pork and fennel sausages are divine, and the burgers are the perfect mix of flavours. Classy venue but value for money. Special shout out to Liz, who took great care of us and with gold country hospitality rarely seen these days. Loved that it’s dog friendly out front, so our beloved pooch can join us.

Great place to have beer and hearty food. Not every beer we liked, but you can find some that are OK. The spareribs were excellent, however. So were the deserts and the coffee. Make sure to reserve, for otherwise you get a table that could not be very cozy.

A great experience at Southern Highlands Brewing and Taphouse today. The venue has a classic vintage yet modern feel. Light, clean and fresh. Staff were very friendly and attentive and helped us to a table straight away. They were only too happy to bring our son colouring pencils and paper and happily obliged and said hello every time he called out to them. Menu has a great selection from entrees and light meals to more substantial selections. Opting to start with the nachos to share they were a winner. Main meal was the Taphouse burger which was delicious. Our meals were served quickly and were nice and fresh and tasty. Beverage selection is great- hubby loved the tasting paddles of beers. Nice wine selection as well as cocktails. An all round great dining experience we will be back again!

Fantastic food and beer. G&Ts of many varieties! Alex behind the bar is amazing and Kirsty’s smile is a mile wide. You would think they owned the place! Try the peanut butter whisky for dessert…..

Lovely atmosphere and great to find somewhere open for dinner in a Sunday night (Well they close at 7 – but we still made it)! Delicious food, great drinks and amazingly attentive and helpful service with lots of ‘goodbyes and ‘thanks for coming’ even from the kitchen as we walked out the door. Lots of different areas to enjoy with the family, on a date, with friends, and such a fun but classy vibe – loved all it has to offer here.

Southern highlands brewery & taphouse is so well decorated with old books and Art Deco lighting. It’s a really lovely space to sit back and have a beer or wine and great food. Staff are super friendly and happy to have a laugh with you. Recommend getting the beer float so you can try 4 different beers they have and get a taste for each. Really cool setup and will be going back next time we’re in Moss Vale.

Excellent service at this beautifully décored restaurant in the heart of Moss Vale. The beer tasting quartet was great as I got to choose what beers I was after. The garlic bread was superb, as was the chips. For mains I ordered a prawn pizza which was good. Interesting to have the base have beer in it. Made it quite crunchy. The pasta was absolutely divine. Loved the ambiance, and the toilet was one of the longest cubicles I’ve seen. Highly recommend dropping in for a bite if in the area.
