Hemingway’s Brewery is an independent craft brewery with two Brewpubs, located at the beautiful Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina in Port Douglas & at Cairns Wharf in Cairns city. Hemingway’s is the first of its kind in Far North Queensland and offers a relaxed vibe where you can enjoy hand crafted beers suited to the tropical climate and fresh, local produce. Both venues have dedicated function spaces that cater to both small and large groups alike for weddings, birthdays, and corporate events. You can’t get a much better location than this for a brewery. Amazing views whilst enjoying cold local beers on tap. We opted for the ‘Classic’ and ‘Chose Your Own’ beer paddles to get a taste of as many of the brews as possible. It was great how we got a print out of the tasting notes and story behind how each of the beers were crafted so you could read as you tried each drink.

We came here on Sunday 17/07/22 and were told it’d be 1.5 hour wait on food at 7:30. We decided to go elsewhere. However other patrons that we spoke to apparently were not given this courtesy. We came back the following night and ordered fish tacos, salt and pepper squid and the sausage pizza and two tasting paddles with every beer on them.

Good beers and great atmospher at this place. Lovely views over the water. I had a wrap and my wife took the tacos. Good food. Only complain was that staff didn’t remove the rain water from the seats outside. We ask for help but the completely ignore us for it. Took a table inside instead.

I have fond memories of this building as a child, filled with corn and sugar piles ready to be transported. So it was very cool to see the facility restored, keeping alot of the natural charm. As it is now the venue is impressive to say the least. Would be ideal for large groups. Wasn’t too busy for our visit but I will say it was fairy noisy..
