When I am looking for a fabulous quaint spot to have lunch I look no further than Hearth by Moonacres, fabulous it really is and a convenient drive from my acre at Burradoo actually. There is ample parking for my Range Rover and the service I receive is second to none, a padded vest, beret and a scarf isn’t frowned upon in this stylish setting. The staff are friendly and the food and coffee is completely acceptable for a person of my stature. A perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday lunch.

Love Hearth by Moonacres! Cute little cafe next to the gallery. Small but delicious menu that is in keeping with Moonacre ethos of sustainability. Staff are really friendly. Pretty lovely spot to relax after a wander through the gallery.

The cheese burger was completely raw in the middle. When I told the manager this, he was like “it’s fine” and did not acknowledge that it’s inedible, nor was offer ways to remediate the situation.

A huge fan of the original Moonacres. Same consistently great coffee! Cosy in the fire and a nice spot to relax. Lots of space for families and great for less mobile people as the parking is very close and always has availability!

I wish I could give this fantastic little place more than 5 stars. Wonderful food, coffee and atmosphere, kind and inviting staff and a beautiful philosophy behind the food – we went on “Waste Not Tuesday” and the dahl was so delicious and perfect for the cold winter’s day.

Please don’t mistake this place for moonacres in Robertson (which is awesome). Who I can only assume was the owner /manager was so rude. Upon arrival he doesn’t show us to our table, barely looks up as he keeps doing what he is doing. We accidentally pick the wrong table (which had no ‘reserved’ sign) and he rudely asks us to move. He closed the door on my wife’s face, who was pushing a pram, instead of holding the door open after he moved outside at the same time as us. The cafe only had 3 tables of people currently sitting so it wasn’t busy. This is our second attempt here and will be our last, as our first experience was no different.

There is some interesting food, locally grown and freshly cooked. If that’s what you like I would recommend this place. But truly I go there for the coffee and cake…also tranquillity of the estate.
