The food itself is not too bad. They didn’t have any roast pork so the “original” I ordered didn’t have the pork in it. Not sure if they replaced with another type of meat. Nice little space, the seating area is quite small but good enough. We went while it was raining so it was quite cold inside.

Popped into this newly opened Banh Mi shop on my way to work. I’m a huge fan of Banh Mi and looked forward to having a good place close to home – tried the OG and it did not disappoint. Nice crusty bun, decent amount of filling, and a good chilli burn afterwards. Owner and staff were friendly too – looking forward to trying more.

I got the roast pork banh mi and its one of the best ive had. The pork is fresh and juicy with crunchy crackle. They were generous on the meat. The bread is crunchy and fresh. Cant wait to try the other options.

Absolutely delicious food. Could not fault. Friendly service. Not much room to sit and eat but, hey, that’s why it’s called a “tuckshop”. Still manages to create a cool vibe. 100% will be back.

I had the $10 original Bahn Mi, it was okay, unfortunately (I’m pretty sure) there was no pate and tasted a bit dry. The rice paper roll was also dry on the outside so it was a bit hard to eat 🙁

I ordered the crispy roast pork Banh Mi’s & had mix feelings based on what is available in around Perth. Starting with the good, the roast pork was exceptionally crisp & juicy, yum! However, the bread roll was at least a couple days old & overall did not have basic textures, flavors & ingredient ratios associated with Banh Mi. There was no standard mayonnaise or pate, pickled carrot was sprinkled on like it was salt & pepper, 2 sprigs coriander were counted out & placed in the roll like there was a market wide shortage. In my opinion District1 were serving $5 rolls rather than the disproportionate $10 asking. I hope D1 improve their interpretation of our beloved Banh Mi. It would be a shame to see another local business fail so early in their development.
