Hayashi Teppanyaki Restaurant 2154

Hayashi Teppanyaki is a family-owned business servicing the Hill District since 1996, providing authentic and entertaining dining experiences to the local community. Started as a small and humble beginning, unafraid to mingle with his audience and discuss everything from cooking to their lives around the fiery hotplates, Ronnie has brought Hayashi Teppanyaki into Castle Hill and making what it is today. With a preference for fresh and bold flavours, every single dish on the menu is carefully prepared to dazzle the five senses. Hayashi Teppanyaki has transformed every perfect plate of food filled with passion and a desire to be the very best to all in the area.

Slick, contemporary Japanese destination preparing teppanyaki and tempura dishes, plus banquets.

OMG this place was AMAZING. I went there for my birthday dinner and it was the best experience, the chefs and other staff were so funny and nice and the sheer amount of food they give you is very filling and it tastes good too! We were sat with a bunch of other people and the atmosphere was great! The other people we sat with were lovely and joked around with us! If you’ve never had Teppanyaki before i would 100% recommended you try this place!

The customer service was great. They were very accommodating and welcoming as soon as we got to the front of the restaurant. They even gave me a foot stool as I couldn’t reach the floor which was nice of them. Food was simple but nice. Watching the chef cook was very entertaining

Hayashi Teppanyaki offers a unique dining experience with its vibrant atmosphere and skillful teppanyaki cooking. The restaurant is known for its emphasis on using fresh ingredients, which translates into flavorful dishes that tantalize the taste buds. However, a drawback is the notably small portion sizes that leave diners craving more. This can be disappointing given the relatively high prices, leading to a sense of dissatisfaction regarding the value for money.

Booked for 630pm booking with lucy and noticed when we arrived there was a larger group. The venue was ok, parking was below the restaurant. It roughly worked out $35 pp + drinks/desserts. Overall was an ok experience. Would’ve achieved a 5 star however our chef couldn’t speak English and made it hard to be engaged and entertained. The other chef from the other table kept on dropping past and talking to us ( i think he was the boss ) to try and compensate for our chefs lack of communication.
